Perché ti ricordi sempre / For You To Always Remember assembles a body of images and texts as part of a broader investigation into the construction of identity. Francesca Faulin addresses the desire to establish a connection with her mother, a relationship marked by distance. Through the use of self-portraiture and the examination of family archives, the work interrogates the intergenerational transmission of trauma across four generations of women. The book brings together self-portraits, photographs from the family archive, and fragments of written material to construct a layered narrative that questions socially prescribed roles and illuminates the individual pursuit of identity and personal freedom.
