I remember my first Redentore on a boat… I felt so cool, about ten years old with my mum and a bunch of adults, waiting for midnight fireworks, eating cold cotolette alla milanese…

Festa del Redentore is probably the most loved celebration in Venice. It involves: a dark origin (celebrating the end of the Plague), summer temperatures, amazing fireworks, boats and lots of food! It falls always on a Saturday (the third of the month of July). Youngsters stay out all night. The whole city is in festa.
